So you’ve waited a whole year for a new MacA Ent release? Well guess what, we’re going to give you 2! Two different flavors from two of the hardest working cats in the biz. Mac-A-Mill fresh off of “Kold Cuttz”, a local phenom, immediately began working on his next album. And for those who have been waiting for it, it’s finally here. J. Coop will be releasing his solo debut. You showed him love at all of his shows and he definitely felt it.
Set for an early 2014 drop, scheduled around February, Mac-A-Mill’s “Mac 2.0: The Intelligent Thug” will be hitting the streets hard. It is already slated to be a monster. The production is amazing, with tracks produced by Mac himself, as well as LB Graphicz (did you know he was a producer too?), and Illuzion of Blackout Music. Early reviews of the unfinished tracks praised the “realness” of the lyrics. It is definitely going to be different from what you’re used to hearing these days, but still hot!
Closer to the spring you can expect J. Coop’s “Page One.” For those who don’t know, he’s another heavy hitter that has already rocked many crowds. It’s been a long time coming for this highly anticipated drop. Of course it includes the crowd favorite “Who I Am” and a mess of new tracks that will surely turn any club up. It has tracks for any and everybody, from the goonies to the booshie.
The moral of the story folks, “is if you ain’t ready you better get ready, cause we ain’t playing!” 2014 is going to be a BIG year for KC period, and MacA Ent WILL be at the forefront.
